WONDERING ABOUT?…

  • Everything can be ordered via the serving window, where you will be given a receipt with an order number. We then work our magic behind the scenes and will call out your number when your order is ready. Please stay close by, to listen for your number and be ready to collect your order. We provide all our food in street-food style fashion, in takeaway boxes, for you to enjoy at the cafe or take away.

  • This year we have introduced an online ordering system (for food and cold drinks only. Hot drinks and ice-creams must still be ordered via the serving window) You now have the option to scan the QR codes on your table, or order online. With this option you can order in advance if you wish and select a collection time (you must be here for the collection time, as good food waits for no one!)

  • You can find us at the Links nestled between the beach, the cricket pavilion and the Team Hamish splash pad in beautiful Nairn…there’s nowhere better!

  • During the local school holidays we are open 7 days a week. 10am-4.30pm. We serve breakfast rolls 10am-11.30am, full food menu is available from 12noon-4.30pm, hot drinks, cakes, ice creams and cold drinks throughout.

    In term time we tend to close one or two days depending on the time of year. Please keep an eye on our socials and Google for updated info about our hours. Strathnairn Beach cafe is a seasonal business due to the location, and weather, so we close during the winter to enjoy some family down time.

  • We have a small indoor section with tables available, several benches outside, and the boundless beautiful beach and grassy links…perfect for picnics.

  • We don’t take bookings as we are a relaxed, informal cafe. Generally there is usually a table or bench available inside or outside, and most people are happy to share table benches.

  • The closest car park is a few minutes walk away at Cumming Street car park.

  • The paths to the cafe are convenient for wheelchairs and buggies. We have a large accessible table commissioned by Green Hive, that can be used for wheelchair users.

    Our indoor space is small, but we are happy for you to move tables aside/push together to create more suitable access.

  • We do…our menu board and online system states which of our foods are gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan, and those containing nuts…You are welcome to message us or speak to a member of our team if you have any questions. We are happy to do what we can to cater for your needs.

    We do our best to avoid cross contamination, however we can’t fully guarantee, as we do work with a range of fresh ingredients in our kitchen. Please let us know when ordering if you have specific allergies so we can be extra cautions and label your food appropriately.

  • We love dogs at Strathnairn, however we have a no dogs inside policy. This is because the indoor space is small, and all our hot food and drinks are transported through the same area, so we prioritise the safety for all, and the transfer of orders as efficiently as possible. We do however welcome dogs outside and have fresh water bowls for your furry friends.

  • We don’t have a toilet on site, our nearest public toilets are a stone throw away on the other side of the play park visible from the cafe.

  • We don’t have an alcohol license on our premises.

  • We are so lucky to have two wonderful golf courses, endless beaches, the Team Hamish splash pad, the Links play parks and putting green. Not forgetting a whole host of fantastic local shops, cafes, and restaurants, so make a day of it!
